Despite reports that he declined, Prince Harry has confirmed that he hasn’t yet received an invitation to his father, King Charles III’s 75th birthday celebration.

A representative of the Duke of Sussex has come forward and said the rumours and misreports being spread are ‘disappointing.’

According to The Sunday Times, King Charles will be celebrating his 75th birthday on November 14, with his “closest family and friends” at Clarence House. The publication reported the British Monarch’s youngest son isn’t “making the trip from California” despite being invited.

Prince Harry relocated to Montecito, California with his wife, Meghan Markle and two children, Archie and Lillibet in 2020 shortly after leaving the British royal family. Since, many have speculated on the growing divide between the father-and-son.

However, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shut down the rumours of Prince Harry’s invitation.

A spokesperson has claimed there has been “no contact” regarding King Charles’ birthday celebration.

“In response to U.K. media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday,” they told People Magazine.

The last time the Duke of Sussex met with his father was in May 2023, when Harry travelled to London to attend his father’s coronation. During the historical moment, the father and son were not pictured together nor did Harry enter with his family members.

Harry attended King Charles’ coronation on his own as Meghan decided to stay at home in California to take care of their children and celebrate Archie’s birthday – which fell on the same day as the coronation, May 6.

The last time they saw each other is rumoured to be at King Charles’ coronation.
