Prince Harry’s best man has finally been revealed — and it’s his big brother Prince William!

“Prince Harry has asked his brother The Duke of Cambridge to be his Best Man at his wedding to Ms. Meghan Markle,” Kensington Palace announced in a tweet Thursday. “The Duke of Cambridge is honored to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19th.”

As the palace noted, Harry served as William’s best man in 2011, when he married Kate Middleton. In fact, we’ll never forget the moment everybody’s favourite ginger-haired royal told his nervous older brother, “You are alright; she is here now,” as his bride-to-be made her way up the hallowed aisle of Westminster Abbey (which you can relive in the player above).

Several photos of the royal brothers were shared to go along with the announcement, including an adorable throwback of the pair as youngsters wearing matching policeman hats.

William, 35, was quick share his well-wishes following the happy news that his younger brother would soon wed Meghan Markle. But, being his older sibling, he had to get a dig in along with his congratulations.

Last year, the beloved royal said he hopes his brother’s engagement to the former Suits star means he’ll finally stop “scrounging” his food.

“We’re very excited and delighted for them both and wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time,” he told reporters during the first day of a two-day visit to Finland, before adding the kicker: “And for me personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge and will stop him scrounging my food, which he’s done for the last few years.”

It’s clear they’re brothers first… and royals second!

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, became engaged over a roast chicken dinner at their home, Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace.

“It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us. Roasting a chicken… trying to roast a chicken,” Harry said of the private moment during an interview with BBC News broadcaster Mishal Husain.

“She didn’t even let me finish, she said ‘can I say yes, can I say yes?’ and then there were hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like can I — can I give you the ring? She goes — oh yes the ring.”

“It was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch her by surprise as well.”

“It was so sweet and natural and very romantic,” Meghan added.

The loved-up pair will exchange vows at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.
