Another Royal Baby is officially on the way and in a world-first, the announcement was made while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were on Aussie soil ahead of their tour of Australia and the Pacific.

As the world celebrates the exciting news, we can’t help but wonder what Duchess Meghan’s due date is and how far along is she in her pregnancy?

Here, we answer all your burning questions about the Royal Baby!

When is the royal baby due?

According to the palace’s official statement, she will give birth in the UK spring, which falls between March, April and May.

And now, Meghan and Harry themselves have confirmed they are six months along and due to welcome Baby Sussex in late April, 2019.

During their first joint royal engagement of 2019, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan greeted well-wishers at Birkenhead and said that their bundle of joy is due in late April.

The former Suits star, who also confirmed she is six months pregnant, added that they don’t know whether they’re having a boy or a girl, as they want it to be a “surprise.”

According to well-wisher Kim Thompson, who met Meghan during her walkabout, the Duchess shared her exciting due date news.

“She said she is six months pregnant and due at the end of April, beginning of May,” Kim said.

Adding: “Another woman in the crowd joked that she was a trained midwife. Meghan said that one of her friends had [given birth] five weeks early and [the midwife] said the baby comes when they are ready.”

So there you have it, royal watchers! Mark your calendars for another April Royal Baby.

That would mean Baby Sussex would be a year apart in age from cousin Prince Louis, who was born on April 23rd this year.

Meghan is said to be in “good health” and had a positive 12-week scan in October last year, which means the baby was conceived between the royal tour of Ireland in July and Meghan’s 37th birthday on August 4th.

When did Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry tell the royal family about their baby news?

Fans were quick to notice Duchess Meghan’s gorgeous glow and Prince Harry’s extra attentive streak towards his wife when they stepped out at Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding last October.

And it’s little wonder the pair were beaming as it turns out, that’s the day they shared their baby news with their loved ones.

“The couple shared their news with family at the royal wedding on Friday – the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are ‘delighted for the couple,'” Emily Nash said.

Where will Duchess Meghan give birth?

She could perhaps follow in her sister-in-law Duchess Catherine’s footsteps and give birth at the Lindo Wing in St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.

The five-star hospital is not only the birth place for Kate’s three children, but also where Prince William and Prince Harry were born.

There is also speculation she could have a home birth.

What will the Royal Baby be called?

If there’s one thing we know about Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry is that they are trailblazing trendsetters.

Of course, it hasn’t taken the bookies long to roll out their predictions with Victoria the favourite girl name at 15/2 and James the front-runner boy name at 9/1 odds.

But we’re going to take an educated guess here and say the couple will stray from tradition and pick something completely unique and true to their style.
