Let it be known that we LOVE 83-year-old Terry Hutt, without a doubt the Royal Family’s biggest fan – and after he offered to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle, following confirmation her father would not be attending the royal nuptials, we just love him even more.

“I’m over the moon to think Harry’s getting married; we’ve all been waiting a long time for him,” Hutt told Inside Edition in the clip above.

“Again, with what’s going on [with Markle’s father], it won’t stop them from being married, even if I have to take her up the aisle, I’ll take her up for him.”

Who is Terry Hutt?

Terry is more than just a fair-weather fan, this Cambridge-based SUPER fan has been following the royals all his life. The Queen even has a nickname for him!

This British man has become world famous thanks to his undying love of the Royal family and his patriotic Union Jack suit, which is reportedly why Queen Elizabeth calls him, “Union Jack Man.”

In 2012, Terry opened up about to the Cambridge Press first time he met a member of the Royal family, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother during World War II when he was just 4-years-old.

“We met during the Blitz when she visited areas of North London. I’m one of 12 from a poor family and it was always embedded into me how important it was that I’d met the Queen Mother.”

Terry received a cake for his 80th from Kensington palace.

Terry found himself with a lot more time on his hands back in after heart surgery forced him to take early retirement at age 58. Since then he’s been at every royal event, even camping out the front of the Lindo Wing for 6 days before Princess Charlotte’s birth.

While camping out the front of Lindo Wing in 2015 for Charlotte to be born, Terry celebrated his 80th birthday.

Mr Hutt couldn’t quite believe his luck when he received a delicious cake and hand-written note from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s representatives!

“Dear Terry, this comes with our best wishes on your 80th birthday, from the team at Kensington Palace,” the lovely card read.

Making it all the more special, the letter was penned on Prince William’s personalised stationery which features the Duke of Cambridge’s bespoke monogram.

If you’re lucky you’ll spot Terry in the Royal wedding footage, he’s certainly hard to miss.
