Mary’s little Princess’s first day of school

As royalty they’re used to big events, but this week Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark faced one of the most significant days in their lives as parents: their daughter’s first day of school.

Princess Isabella, who turned six this year, had a spring in her step and a smile on her face as she skipped out of the gates of Amalienborg Palace ahead of her first day at Tranegard School.

Princess Mary looked every bit the proud parent as she held her daughter’s hand and posed for photographs, just as she had done with son Prince Christian two years ago.
