There’s nothing like a good old fashioned birthday knees up – but in the world of Australia’s beloved soap actors, social media will suffice.
Stars of the country’s favourite drama series Home and Away have taken to Instagram to pen tributes to one of the show’s loyal stalwarts, James Stewart, who celebrated his birthday on Wednesday.
It all started with Penny McNamee, who plays James’ on-screen sister Tori.
Sharing a sweet snap of the pair on her Instagram grid, Penny wrote: “Happy Birthday to my brother from another mother, @jamesstewart“
She continued: “Jimbo – you make my time at work so joy-filled. Thank you for your beautiful friendship, solid advice, constant support and ALL THE LAUGHS!! In the hallowed halls of Summer Bay, you have and always will be “my person”. Xxx.”
A number of Penny’s fans also took to her post to wish James a happy day.
“Happy Birthday Jimmy a great photo of you both. Love you guys,” one wrote.
Another added: “The cutest on set siblings.”
Home and Away‘s James Stewart turned 45 this week.

Earlier this year, she wrote on Instagram: “3 reasons why Jimmy is my favourite scene partner: He sings show tunes with me, he can quote any romantic comedy, he’s got my coffee order on speed dial. I mean, what else is there?”
Penny and James are known to be close.

Posting a cute selfie with James and fellow Home and Away stars Emily Symons and Lynne McGranger, Georgie simply wrote: “Birthday Boy”.

“The most potent creature I know, my forever lover, happy birthday husband,” Sarah wrote alongside a beautiful snap of the pair over candlelight.
Yep, we’d be feeling the love too if we were James today.
