There’s more than 26 years between Demi Moore and her daughter Rumer – not that you’d know it. And UK newspaper The Sun claims there is a magical “elixir” that’s helping the 52-year-old actress rewind the clock.

Long the locker-room secret of body building gyms, injecting Human Growth Hormones has become the anti-ageing treatment du jour in Hollywood, and Demi is believed to be among its devotees. HGH is created naturally by the body, but as we age it decreases –which means muscles fade, wrinkles appear and energy and sex drive naturally dips.

But some stars have taken to injecting HGH – a drug only legal in Australia if prescribed by a doctor – once per day, at costs of up to $1000 per month.

Medical experts warn that while HGH might seem like a miracle elixir, it comes with several side effects, ranging from awkward to downright dangerous.

Hormone expert from Manchester University Professor Steven Shalet tells The Sun that using HGH could result in extra body hair, abnormally large feet or hands, and even blood clots, diabetes, and heart failure.

Demi, 52, has never confirmed she uses HGH but it has been widely reported she, Jennifer Aniston, Robbie Williams and Madonna are among its famous fans.
