When Home and Away star Sam Frost and former Survivor contestant Jordie Hansen went public with their relationship in March 2022, fans were shocked by the unexpected pairing.
But through public declarations of love, nonstop laughs and a mutual appreciation for the great outdoors, Sam and Jordie have proved they’re a match made in heaven!
Sam first hinted she had a special man in her life during a March 27 interview with Stellar, saying she’s “casually seeing someone”.
Two days later, Sam admitted to radio duo Fitzy and Wippa that she had struck up a romance with Jordie – who just happened to be her little brother Alex’s friend and Survivor co-star.
“When I bailed my brother up and I was like ‘oi is he single or what?’ and then he was like ‘ah don’t be weird.’ He’s like ‘you’re so embarrassing!'” Sam revealed.
“He’s younger. I’m a little cougar you know.”
From there, the milestones just kept on coming for the couple.
In July, Sam and Jordie revealed they had secretly gotten engaged back in late-May during a romantic getaway to Uluru.
Then, in September, the engaged couple revealed they were expecting their first child!
Not long after, Jordie jetted off to Samoa to film his second season of Australian Survivor (Heroes vs Villains).
”Sambo was nine weeks pregnant when I left [for Survivor] and that was very difficult,” Jordie told Now to Love.
”She was confronted with serious bouts of morning sickness and evening sickness so that was a tricky time to leave, and I really didn’t want to leave….but we had plenty of support from our families and she just booted me out the door, I didn’t get a choice in the end!
”She is an absolute warrior, she is the toughest person I know. I can’t wait, I’m so stoked, I just can’t believe it!”

Pregnancy announcement September 2022
In September 2022, Sam and Jordie were over the moon to announce that they were expecting their first child!
Taking to Instagram, the former Home and Away star shared a sweet picture of their ultrasound as she shared a kiss with Jordie, writing: “There is a tiny human coming soon… everyone act surprised when he inevitably inherits his parents odd sense of humour.”
She went on to say that she and Jordie don’t take life too seriously and they’re hoping to instil the same sense of frivolity into their little one, as well as “the importance of being unapologetically yourself, always finding the fun and humour in all the small things, and that being kind, loving and empathetic is a superpower ✨”.
On July 7, Sam and Jordie revealed they got engaged in late May while on a romantic trip to Uluru. “It is a very important time of our lives, we recently got engaged and to celebrate we thought we would go on a 14-day road trip,” Sam said of the proposal.
“Coupla snow bunnies ☃️❄️” Sam and Jordie enjoyed a day on the slopes at Mount Hotham.
Plus one alert! Jordie accompanied Sam to her friend’s wedding in June – and we have to say, they make a seriously good-looking couple.
Jordie gushed over Sam after their recent road trip to the Flinders Ranges. “I knew taking Sambo out here on this trip would be throwing her in the deep end. But she blew me away with how confident and comfortable she was,” he penned. “I was setting up the tent and before I knew it, Sam had the fire going and was cooking dinner over it.”
Sam and Jordie couldn’t have looked happier while enjoying a night out at the AFL in mid-June.
Jordie penned a heart-warming tribute to Sam in early June after the pair went on a road trip around Victoria.
“I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to not only share this adventure with her but also share life with her. Everyday with her is an adventure and an exploration to see just how much juice we can suck out of life,” the Survivor star wrote alongside this snap of Sam.
“You continue to inspire me and excite me more and more everyday and make me a better man. Thanks to you, I laugh and learn more everyday 💚”
After a whirlwind trip to Uluru, Sam thanked Jordie for taking her on the “adventure of a lifetime.”
“I loved listening and learning. Your soul and deep connection to the land and community is truly beautiful. Feeling very honoured to do this trip with you,” she captioned this photo. “Love doing life with you.”
Sam and Jordie have kept their May 2022 holiday to Uluru very well documented – and they couldn’t look happier!
“Funniest human I’ve ever met. Thank you for making me so happy, I’m a very lucky woman.”
In mid-May, Sam and Jordie enjoyed a romantic couple’s getaway to South Australia’s Flinders Ranges.
Couples who brush their teeth together, stay together! Sam shared this sweet snap of her and Jordie wearing matching shirts on Easter.
