Doctors have given Lamar Odom the good news that no one expected.

E! News reported this morning that doctors at Lamar’s care facility in Las Vegas, Sunrise Hospital, have allowed the NBA star to be transferred back to Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old was under strict medical surveillance since he was found unconscious and unresponsive in a Nevada brothel almost six days ago, but following his miraculous recovery, his doctors have given him the go-ahead to be transferred.

This good news confirms that Lamar is making an unprecedented recovery, given that previous reports suggested he was suffering from organ failure, and even brain death, in the wake of his collapse.

Lamar is expected to depart Nevada via a chartered private plane in the next day and a half, providing his condition remains stable.

In the same report, E! News alleges that Lamar is making “fast progress” and is now able to move his arms and legs and speak small sentences. The article also reports that Lamar’s CT scan came back clean and although he is still on dialysis from kidney failure, he is continuing to make promising advancements, like passing a swallow test and coming off ventilation onto a breathing mask.

But despite this advancements, doctors have warned the father-of-two that there is a long road ahead of him, which included several months of physical therapy in order to regain full use of his motor functions.

Lamar’s ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, is currently still at his bedside.

“She goes everywhere with him. If Lamar leaves the room for testing, she follows,” a source told E! News.
