Being the host of Today comes with a big pay-packet – reportedly $1.5 million annually – so it’s no surprise that when Karl Stefanovic takes a family holiday he’s happy to splurge on luxury accommodation.
Karl, his wife Jasmine, and his youngest child Harper have just jetted off to Fiji, presumably as a four year wedding anniversary celebration.
And celebrating in luxury they are, as the family are staying at Kokomo Private Island – which is said to be ‘Fiji’s most exclusive private island resort.’
The couple seem very happy whilst holiday in Fiji.
(Image: Instagram)The accommodation on the Fijian island isn’t only exclusive, it’s expensive too. Karl could be paying up to $18,000 a night for their stay, but as rooms start from $2,000 a night it’s not confirmed how much cash the Today host decided to throw at the end-of-year vacation.
The resort is located on the island of Yaukuve, south of Suva, and is scattered with secluded villas, each boasting absolute privacy and sweeping ocean views.
The island and resort is owned by Australian billionaire and property developer Lang Walker, who originally intended to keep the getaway private to just family and friends.
Since opening it up to the public the resort has became popular with celebrities as they can relax without intrusions from the public or paparazzi.
There is twenty one exclusive villas on the island.

With his Today hosting duties all finished for the year, Karl can spend some alone time with his 37-year-old wife, as the resort offers nanny services from 9am to 5pm.

On land there are the options of hiking to waterfalls, enjoying the spa, indulging in delicious made-to-order meals, or for those that choose to; workout with a private trainer at the hilltop gym.

The happy holidaymakers have taken to Instagram to share a number of photos of their Fijian adventures, including cocktail drinking and ocean swimming.
Jasmine posted a photo of two-year-old Harper feeding the fish.
(Image: Instagram)This holiday could provide a good pick-me-up for Karl as he just had to say goodbye to yet another Today co-host, with Ally Langdon leaving the show to take on hosting A Current Affair.
Next year the 48-year-old will be returning to the desk with Sarah Abo by his side, who was promoted into Ally’s role from 60 Minutes.
