The Covid vaccine rollout that began in late February has been anything but smooth in Australia. Fortunately, operations have improved with more people able to do their due diligence by getting their jab as it opens up to more Aussies.
It has been one of the biggest logistical processes the country has ever seen, and it’s also free to all Australian citizens.
According to Health Direct, while it isn’t compulsory to get vaccinated for those who can, it will be a huge step in the right direction, so herd immunity can protect those who physically cannot receive the jab.
The two offerings in Australia at the moment, Pfizer and AstraZeneca, require two doses, with wait periods between doses varying for each vaccine.
The virus doesn’t discriminate – which is why your favourite Australian celebrities have been rolling up their sleeves to get vaccinated.
They’ve had to line up, provide their eligibility, go through a clinical screening, get their vaccine and wait 15 minutes for monitoring just like everyone else who has gone to a health centre or clinic to get vaccinated.
Here is a list of all the Aussie celebs doing their part.
The former Bachelor has gotten his first dose, and he even posed with his lovely nurse Betty to commemorate the occasion.
“This is me with the lovely Betty just after she gave me the AZ jab. We’re both stoked to hang out because it means she’s one step closer to seeing her family,” the former reality star shared.
He also pointed out (much to the excitement of his fans) that the jab means he will be able to marry his fiance Laura Byrne sooner.
“And I’m one step closer to finally getting hitched to @ladyandacat. See you in 6 weeks Betty!”
The former Home and Away star is finally double vaxxed! The actress took to her Instagram to thank NSW health and science for keeping her safe.

“Big love to all the staff of NSW health & everyone who’s working on the frontline, have lost loved ones to Covid or are in lockdown. Stay safe ❤️🙏🏽✨.”

Hamish uploaded two photos of himself at the clinic, and he took a moment to discuss how far science has come and why he wants other people to get their jabs too.
“To be honest, I feel immensely grateful to live in an age where super-smart people are able to do incredible things like making a vaccine for something that has ground the world to a halt. Just as I do any time science solves something that could have easily killed you 100 years ago,” he said.
He continued to hope his post may help others by writing, “What I REALLY hope is that by posting this, it lands in front of the eyes of someone who is quietly unsure about getting vaccinated. And if that’s you sweet reader, my request is this: don’t take medical advice from me. I didn’t go to medical school, I’m not a doctor. But you know who is a doctor? Your doctor. Talk to them.”

“To protect myself, my family, and the immune compromised people I’ve never met – I’m getting my Covid19 Vaccine today. Easy. Free. No problem.”
