While some reality stars choose to create clothing lines and workout programs post-limelight (looking at you, Sam and Snez), the DiGeronimos have their eyes set on worldwide music supremacy...

You can do anything, they say. Shoot for the stars, they say. Well, Channel 7’s Yummy Mummies star Margherita DiGeronimo may own a concreting business but heck – that’s not going to stop this snazzy granny from pursuing a career in pop music.

Just four months after her daughter, Maria of Yummy Mummies, released her own video clip, Valentina (featuring Margherita lip-syncing about Maria’s little girl, Valentina), Margherita has chucked a Kelly Rowland and done what any girl-band off-sider is destined to do: strike out on her own.

Margherita showing off her best, err, margherita dance moves…

However, instead of taking centre stage in her eponymous single, Margherita seems to have tapped in another woman to take on lead vocals – while our girl Margs sips cocktails and shimmies around a pool in glamorous get-ups.

^^Margherita by name, Margherita by nature…

The caption accompanying the YouTube clip reads:

This is the Official Music Video Clip titled ‘Margherita’. The song that was born due to Margherita’s outstanding character and personality from her appearance on Channel 7’s show ‘Yummy Mummies’. The song was written by her brother Shane Monopoli who also collaborated with the amazing Damian Smith, Robby X, Thony Remy and Grammy Award Winning Guitarist Louie Shelton, which is what it undoubtably turned out to be a no brainer.

As our jaws ache from hitting the floor upon watching, we can’t help but get nostalgic thinking back to daughter Maria’s debut ditty

(To be honest, we’re still recovering from the ab workout worth of laughs this first music clip gave us…)

Y’know, not one to stinge on, well, anything (“wearing, Gucci, Versace, Prada, all the time…”), let alone self-assurance, it seems the silver screen wasn’t enough for Maria, with the Adelaide local preparing to BLOW UP the internet with her latest on-screen appearance.

This is her music video, dedicated to and named after her daughter, Valentina, in all its mind-boggling/head-cocking glory…

You’re welcome.
