This week Australian businessman Geoffrey Edelstein married his lad’s mag model girlfriend, Gabi Grecko.
Edelstein, 72, wed Grecko, 26, in a small Las Vegas themed ceremony at a registry office in Melbourne with the only witnesses being a celebrant and two officials.
“It went very well and we are very pleased,” the groom told the Daily Mail following the ceremony. “It was thrilling. I was very excited and I feel excited.”
In true Gabi style the bride wore a plunging white gown with a white fur bolero and a veil made out of streamers, which she picked up at the ‘last minute’.
“I’m going to the costume shop after I get my hair done – I want to get a veil or a crown – something last minute. Something tacky to wear,” Gabi told New Idea.
While the wedding was intimate Grecko was sure to let her Instagram fans know her nuptials were imminent writing: “By the end of tomorrow I will be OFFICIALLY MRS gabrielle Grecko Edelsten”.
While the groom told the Daily Mail the wedding was “the real deal” his young bride said this week’s nuptials were “more fun” and told of plans to have “the serious wedding” later down the track.
“I’m still planning that. I’ve designed my dress.”
In the meantime perhaps Grecko, with her love of the outlandish, can gain some design inspo from some of these celebrity wedding getups.
