Angelina Jolie looks like skin and bones after losing even more weight - and her scary skinny figure is upsetting her six kids.
Indeed Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old Vivienne and Knox are so concerned for their mum that they've even taken it upon themselves to stage an intervention.
"The kids are all getting older and they can tell when Ange eats and when she skips a meal. It's not lost on them that there are some signs she's not taking care of herself," an insider tells NW.
"Now that their parents are living apart, they don't have their dad protecting them from that kind of thing anymore. It's no surprise they're worried."
Ange's ex Brad Pitt and her brother James Haven used to go the extra mile to ensure the 43-year-old star was staying healthy. But now her children are taking over.
"Brad and her brother always had this job in the past, which was to gently persuade Ange to eat and prepare high-protein meals and shakes in lieu of a sit-down dinner," the source tells.
"She was going well on her own for a while, but lately she's regressed and is back to eating like a bird, which has the kids worried."
"They're at an age where they really notice this stuff, especially as she's not sitting with them and just eats handfuls of nuts or berries standing up while they're all having full meals."
Although Ange has always been slender, there are fears that her weight could have plummeted below just 35kg.
But the kids are doing their part to encourage their mum to eat, including going out for dinner as a family.
"They're onto her, nagging all the time and taking her to restaurants for carbs and salads," the spy says.
"Pax is a great cook and he's always making food for his mum, while Shiloh asks if they can go to her favourite restaurants during their bonding days. Maddox makes sure the house is stocked at all times with food that he hopes Ange will eat."
Sources believe the stress of Angelina and Brad's epic divorce has placed even more strain on the actress-turned-director, who has been skipping meals as a result.
But Ange is doing her best to act like everything is fine for the sake of her kids.
"Ange can tell what they are doing and she's trying to reassure them that she just forgets to eat sometimes and it's nothing to worry about," the insider dishes.
"Everyone knows the children are her top priority and this split hasn't been easy for them, so the last thing she wants is for them to be feeling like they have to take care of her. That's her job!"
However, starvation can cause side effects such as fainting and dizziness. So if Ange doesn't eat a balanced diet, she could be putting her health in danger.
"Ange really needs to be careful, because if she's not eating, then she's probably feeling weak and dizzy," says the spy.
"The kids are determined to make sure that she's alright, so hopefully this push from them is just what she needs to make her health a priority..."
