A month after her breakup with David Panton, Julie Bishop, 66, has stepped out with a fresh new look for a very special event.

The former foreign minister has teamed up with department store David Jones for their first runway show in four years to debut their spring and summer collection.

For the occasion, Julie looked elegant as ever in a $3,750 metallic jacquard midi dress with a high neck and long sleeves.

But this was just the cherry on top when it came to her look.

As can often be customary after a break-up, Julie has completely changed her hairstyle – swapping her shoulder-length blonde locks for a short asymmetrical bob.

Following the event, the 66-year-old took to Instagram to share a stunning photo of her new look.

“DJs runway show is back! @davidjonesstore #djsSS22,” the former politician wrote, quickly garnering plenty of support in the comments.

Weekend Today host Belinda Russell was quick to notice Julie’s hair transformation, penning: “🔥🔥 you always look amazing but LOVING the new do! You ROCK short hair. 💇🏼‍♀️😍🙌🏻.”

Until recently, Julie sported shoulder-length hair.

P.E. Nation co-founder Pip Edwards also shared her love, adding: “You stunner x.”

Reports of Julie’s breakup with her partner David hit the news cycle in July.

The Sydney property developer ended things with the former foreign minister in June after eight years of dating, as per the Sydney Morning Herald.

“I’m going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future,” Panton said in a statement. “I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.”

Julie and David met when she was in the thick of her political career as Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and are believed to have begun dating around 2014.

Reigning from Melbourne, David once ran a vineyard in Melbourne with his now ex-wife Karen.

After moving to Sydney in 2014, it’s understood that he met Julie around the same time he was working as a property developer.

Julie and her partner David reportedly split after eight years of dating.
