We’ve tried every single high-end mascara and this cheap $10 supermarket buy beats them all

Seriously, it's THAT good!

The search for the perfect mascara can often feel like the search for the perfect man – too often they’re flaky, completely ruin your makeup and dry out quickly within just a few months.

We’ve been on a mission to find a mascara that doesn’t clump, doesn’t give you panda eyes throughout the day, doesn’t flake and also doesn’t cost a bomb – and we’ve finally succeeded.

We’ve tried all the expensive brands. Marc Jacobs’ Velvet Noir ($39) is awesome, but it gives you panda eyes by 3pm. Nars’ Climax ($37) is super lengthening, but that flakiness is so annoying! And while we’re in love with Diorshow’s Iconic Overcurl ($56), it’s so expensive that we just can’t justify the price.

But after (literally) years of testing every single mascara out there, we’ve found it’s actually the cheapest one that ticks all the boxes.

And the best part about it is you can pick this product up while you’re doing your groceries!

Meet MCoBeauty’s XTENDLASH Mascara.

Introducing MCoBeauty’s XTENDLASH mascara!

MCoBeauty is the new cruelty-free budget beauty brand from iconic Australian beauty company ModelCo, which is famous for their hot pink “Tan in a Can”.

Their XTENDLASH mascara is exactly the same formula as ModelCo’s old LashXTend (the one in the pink tube with the silver lid), but it’s just undergone a little rebrand.

Let’s talk about the formula: This is a tubular mascara, meaning the water-resistant, zero-smudge “tubes” are coated around each lash for maximum length, definition and hold and they are easily removed with warm water.

Once applied, the lightweight, glossy black formulation binds to lashes and will not run, smudge, clump, or flake.

Now, the price can get a bit confusing because it varies, depending on where you buy it. XTENDLASH costs $22 on MCoBeauty’s website but the RRP at Woolworths, its other stockist, is $17. But you can usually pick this mascara up on sale at Woolies for $10, sometimes even $8.

Many hardcore beauty fans have speculated that this mascara is very similar to Kevyn Aucoin’s famous “The Volume” mascara ($43 from Mecca).
