Before the 24-year-old started his life-changing journey on the Channel Ten show, Daniel weighed in at a whopping 132kgs. Today he clocks in at 80.4kgs, and has lost a phenomenal lost 51.6kgs!

Woman’s Day chatted to the newly-crowned TBL babe, discussing his big win and how he couldn’t have done it without his family or his trainer, Michelle Bridges.

“When Fiona called my name I was so happy. Words can’t describe it! I felt so energetic, it was like a new spark was lit in me,” Daniel said about his $100k win, before revealing he only found out about it on Monday.

With such a huge cash prize, Daniel admits his win was largely due to the support of his family – and in his eyes it’s only fair if he splits it between new-dad Rob, and his brothers, Pablo and Tony.

“The money is a great bonus. But we went in as a family so it is only fair the money is split four ways,” he explained.

Adding, “My portion will focus on my future, whether it’s buying my own place or steering my new career path in fitness and nutrition.”

Whooping weight loss for winner, Daniel Jofre.

Speaking of his time on the show, Daniel knew he did his absolute best, describing the finale as “giving it his all” and “there was nothing left in the tank!”

“I was blind before, I didn’t know what happy was or what comfortable was.”

Telling us, “I am so happy now. I feel comfortable and not only in my clothes and when I go out but in my own skin! I just feel better and fresher!”

The transformation isn’t just physical. Talking to Daniel, it’s clear that he has new found energy and is still striving to do his best – even if that means putting on some weight!

“I’ve lost 39% off my body weight but now it’s about putting on weight,” he says, before clarifying, “Good weight and some muscle. This will help me towards the final steps off achieving a physique that I’m proud off.”

While his family was his support, trainer Michelle, was his anchor – steering him towards a brighter, better life.

Michelle couldn’t be prouder of her boys and their phenomenal achievement.

“[Michelle] is so proud of us. In fact she said that we gave her the best first training session in the history of the show,” he proudly shared.

“Words can’t describe my relationship with her. I appreciate so much what shes done for me and my family. She genuinely cares about people and wants them to strive for the best out of life.”

Adding, “I’m so happy for her now that she concentrate on her family now that it’s growing.”

The 24-year-old thinks Michelle will be “the best mum” to her little bub, not only focusing on a healthy but nurturing lifestyle.

It’s safe to say they’re so much more than trainer and trainee – they’re friends.

Since the show’s end the pair have kept in touch with Michelle even giving the youngest and still single Jofre team member some dating advice!

“Michelle says she has to work out, if she doesn’t work out she’s off the card! But my type of girl is a family orientated,” he quipped.

There’s no denying that Daniel is looking sensational, so we couldn’t help but ask if he would ever consider doing The Bachelor.

Laughing, he said, “I’s definitely do The Bachelor. I’m still young and ready to find love.”

Before adding, “And I guess I’m currently a bachelor, so why not!”

No more junk for the Jofre men!

Daniel may not have found love yet, but he certainly has found a healthy life a balance.

For those of us who might want some hot tips on achievable health and fitness, Daniel has some refreshing advice.

“Nutrition is key,” he said without hesitation, explaining he likes mixing his food up and making it fun.

“If you have nutrition under control, that will lead to good exercise. You’ll feel energised and ready to go!”

With Daniel’s attitude completely transformed, he is more than ready for life outside the TBL headquarters- and it’s thanks to his time on the weight loss show.

“I would 100% recommend The Biggest Loser for not only weight loss but motivation. The show helps you mentally and physically.”
