Sir Paul McCartney helps fan propose onstage

Watch the video of former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney himself, helping 64-year-old fan finally pop the question to his beloved in front of thousands of fans

A super-cute video has emerged from a Paul McCartney concert held over the weekend where Macca himself pulled two of his fans out of the audience to help them get engaged onstage.

Sir Paul McCartney was playing in Albany, New York on July 5 when he spotted two fans in the crowd holding up signs: “He won’t marry me ’till he meets you,” said the woman’s sign. The man with her had his own coordinating sign which read, “I’ve got the ring & I’m 64.”

So the former Beatle called the couple, Claudia and John, up onstage and asked them “Are you ready to do this John?”

To which the 64-year-old fan replied: “Oh yeah. I’ve come too far to back out now!” The fan then surprised his beloved (and Sir Paul too) by taking over the mike with a rousing rendition of: “When I’m 64”.

Just a reminder of those lyrics again: “Will you still need me, will you still feed me when I’m 64?”

Sir Paul, 72, ended up joining in with his guitar, as did the audience who sang along with the famous Beatles tune. No doubt John had kept Claudia waiting for quite some time and this was a very special moment for them!

John eventually got down on one knee to pop the question which was met with an immediate “Yes!” from Claudia and a giant round of applause from the audience.
