Home And Away star Ada Nicodemou has marked her son Johnas’ fifth birthday by uploading two pictures to Instagram, as well as a touching tribute to her “little man”.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life. My little man, you bring me so much joy ever [sic] time I’m with u and look into your beautiful eyes, u warm my heart and thank u for changing my life forever. Mummy loves u so much. Happy 5th birthday my beautiful boy,” Ada wrote on her social media post.
Earlier this year, Ada spoke to TV WEEK about the close relationship she shares with Johnas.
The actress opened up about how special 2017 was going to be, as it was the last year before Johnas heads off to big school.
At the time, Ada couldn’t get her head – or her heart – around that reality.
“He has another year, which is nice, because I just want to keep him at home for as long as I can,” she said in January.
When asked who’ll be crying more on the day she waves goodbye at the school gate, Ada couldn’t decide.
“I think tears for both of us,” she said. “We’re very attached to each other. He’s such a beautiful, sensitive boy, and loves cuddles, and I don’t want to let him go.
“Friends will say he has to grow up and stay on his own, but yes, I think it’ll be a sad day.”
2016 was a tough year for Ada and her family as she parted ways with her husband of nine years, Chrys Xipolitas.
This year has proved to be a happier one, with Ada recently celebrating her 40th birthday with close friends in Italy, including Home And Away bestie Lynne McGranger.
