Take 5 magazine polled its readers and has just published the top 20. Voting to decide the overall winner of Australia’s Sexiest Celebrity Beard opens today. The winner will be presented with a special certificate and trophy by the magazine.
Over 3,700 readers took part in the online survey. Surprise inclusions in the hot 20 are food critic Matt Preston and actor Shane Jacobson, whereas the other Hemsworth heartthrob Liam, celeb trainer Steve ‘The Commando’ Willis and silver fox TV host Dr Andrew Rochford missed the cut.
Take 5 editor Paul Merrill said: “This isn’t about the body or face the beard is attached to – it’s about the facial growth itself. Some were shocked that Kyle made the list, but if you look up close you’ll see that his stubble definitely has a sensuous quality. There have never been more celebrity beards, so it’s only right that they finally have their own award ceremony.”
