Viral video shows rare footage of the Queen running for a very sweet reason

Her Majesty sure can move fast!

Whenever we see the Queen out and about on royal duties, she remains poised, elegant and as regal as ever.

But in a resurfaced video clip from 1986, some rare footage of Her Majesty shows that sometimes, grandmother duties take precedence over royal ones.

In a clip posted by @katemidletons from Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s wedding, viewers can see the Queen chasing after a young Prince William as he tries to run after the horse-drawn carriage carrying the bride and groom.

Dressed in her purple ensemble, Her Majesty can be seen breaking into a jog before taking her then-four-year-old grandson by the hand to keep him away from the wheels.

“Late post, but it’s been 33 years since the wedding of Prince Andrew and Fergie in 1986. And so here’s Queen Elizabeth running after little Prince William to stop him from getting closer to the carriage. Her Majesty as a grandma is cute 😂,” the video was captioned.

We keep watching it on loop!

To make matters even funnier, we can also see two other royals breaking into a run as well!

The Queen’s younger sister Princess Margaret, dressed in an electric blue outfit, can be seen trying to cut through the crowd as can Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana, who can be seen for a couple of seconds at the beginning of the clip dressed in a blue suit with black polka dots.

We assume they’re chasing after Lady Rose Windsor, the other mischievous child in the shot chasing after the carriage as well.

Prince William was a cutie, that’s for sure!

Prince William has previously admitted he was a “cheeky grandson” back in his youth like his brother but always had “a healthy respect for [his] grandmother more so than others when [he] was younger.”

Though he describes his grandmother as a great listener, he admitted to ABC News in 2012, “You know when you’re in the bad books. I’ve been in her bad books several times and I’ve seen the way the corgis get told off when they’re in trouble so I don’t want to go there.”

Prince William was quite the cheeky pageboy at his uncle and aunt’s wedding and it seems that cheekiness runs in the family!

Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte have had starring roles as pageboy and flower girl respectively at family members and family friends’ weddings and they’ve showed their mischievous sides too. Here’s to many more!

Just like her daddy!
