It’s the moment royal fans wait for every time a royal wedding rolls around, but in the case of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding day, their famous first kiss as a husband and wife was a little different.
The royal couple were married in a secret ceremony back in July with just a few of their nearest and dearest in attendance.
And while the pair have since shared some sweet insights from the special day, there are a few behind the scenes insights us royal wedding purists have missed – that being the first kiss between the bride and groom.
Lucky for us, the Princess Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, has decided to rectify that.
With a series of never-before-seen pics from the wedding day, Sarah has been writing thank you letters to well wishers who sent their congratulations to the pair.
In her latest reveal, one fan, World.of.Royals, shared Sarah’s choice in photo for their thank you reply.
In the beautiful black and white image, Beatrice and Edo are seen locking lips in a garden at Windsor, which is where they were married.
Sharing the pic to their Instagram page, the fan wrote: “The newest addition to my sweet little collection of 34 replies is definitely one of my personal favourites and I don’t want to withhold it from you. When I opened my mailbox that day, I was really, really surprised to find a letter from Sarah, the Duchess of York in it.”
The blogger continued: “The first and last time that I wrote was in 2018, so I wonder where she found my address and why exactly she sent me this b e a u t i f u l l card, but hey, in my view, surprise replies are the best replies! So thank you, @sarahferguson15! You made me really happy! And look at those sweet lovebirds, I just love this photograph of Bea and Edo!”
Beatrice and Edo were secretly married back in July.

Also receiving a thank you note from Sarah, the fan shared the stunning image of Beatrice and Edo gazing fondly at each other shortly after getting married.
Beatrice looks absolutely stunning in her Grandmother, The Queen’s old vintage dress, while Edo simply looks chuffed to be standing with his bride.
This new image from Beatrice and Edo’s wedding also surfaced last week.

They do say memories last a lifetime, right?
