If this isn’t the greatest thing you’ll see today, we’re not sure what could possibly beat it.

In a glorious moment no one was expecting, Prince William and Duchess Catherine have made a surprise appearance at the football in Norwich, and they’ve brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte along with them.

And while the sole purpose of the surprise activity was likely for Wills (and indeed George) to revel in seeing their beloved team Aston Villa beat Norwich City, soccer and royal fans alike were also treated to a spectacle like no other.

And frankly, we can’t stop watching.

Attending Norwich’s Carrow Road football ground, Wills and Kate were all smiles as they sat in the stands with their excitable young children.

William is known to be an avid fan of Aston Villa, so the 5-1 win from the team made their trip to the match all the more exciting on Saturday.

And while each goal sent the crowd wild, none were more impressed than Prince George who was captured on camera providing some seriously meme-worthy reactions.

We get it, Prince George is a big fan of Aston Villa, just like his dad!

Meanwhile, Kate and Charlotte‘s reactions to said soccer match were a little more low-key than that of George and William, but that’s not to say they weren’t just as watchable.

Wearing a classic puffer jacket with her hair in loose waves, Kate nailed the casual-chic brief to a T.

During the match, the doting mum could be seen chatting to her young daughter, appearing to explain the rules of the game to her.

Perhaps in a few years Charlotte will be reacting like her older brother when it comes to witnessing a glorious goal by one’s favoured team.

Prince William has spoken previously of his love for Aston Villa, despite not reigning from the Midlands, where the team is based.

Speaking to Gary Lineker in 2015 Wills stated that when he was younger and was introduced to the beautiful game he took some time to choose his club of choice.

“All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans and I didn’t want to follow the run of the mill teams. I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments.”

Roller coaster moments is certainly one way to describe it – and it looks like Prince George is certainly along for the ride.

Back in July, Prince George and younger sister Charlotte were spotted trying their own hand at soccer, with the pair kicking a ball around at a polo match attended by Kate, Wills and Meghan and Harry.

Perhaps with a few more years of practice, we’ll have some new, rather regal soccer champs to support!
