The Queen isn’t the only one turning 90 this year!

Beloved children’s character Winnie the Pooh is celebrating HIS 90th birthday as well, and he went to visit the Queen and Prince George to celebrate!

Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Birthday follows Pooh Bear and his friends Piglet, Eeyore and Christopher Robin, as they attempt the journey to Buckingham Palace to deliver a gift to the Queen.

After exploring London, the group have a chance encounter with Queen Elizabeth right outside the gates of the palace.

Winnie and the gang look on in wonder at Buckingham Palace.

In the charming illustrations, the Queen is sporting her signature white gloves and handbag, and clutching a posy from a well-wisher.

She’s described as “just as Queenly and smiley and wonderful as they had expected her to be”.

They got the Queen’s likeness just right!

After the storybook group’s meeting with Her Majesty, they notice “a little boy… much younger than Christopher Robin and much bouncier than Tigger” trailing behind her.

Who else could it be but Prince George, looking as adorable as ever in a blue cardigan and shorts!

Piglet gingerly hands the toddler a bright red balloon before scuttling off.

Piglet loved the “bouncy” Prince George.

Disney have also released a visual audiobook of the endearing story, read by actor Jim Broadbent.

Jim said he had “loved being part of” the new adventure.

Actor Jim has always had a soft spot in his heart for Winnie.

“I have been a fan of Winnie-the-Pooh since I was a boy, in fact I named my very first and much loved teddy ‘Pooh’ and that can only have been after the A. A. Milne character,” he said.

“I’ve loved being part of this story to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday and Winnie-the-Pooh’s 90th anniversary; it’s been an honour to narrate such an iconic story and I want to wish both Her Majesty The Queen and Winnie-the-Pooh a very Happy 90th!”
