He may be four months old, but Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is one of the most famous children on the planet.

And while his proud parents Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have chosen to keep a lot of details about him private, one royal reporter believes she knows the identity of one of Archie’s godparents. And it’s not who we expected!

Traditionally, the godparents of royal children are announced by the Palace, however the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to keep Archie’s godparents’ identities secret.

But in a chat with Entertainment Tonight, renowned royal reporter Katie Nicholl believes one such godparent was in attendance at Duchess Meghan’s recent capsule wardrobe launch for her charity Smart Works.

“I was there at the launch and spotted in the audience Isabel May,” the reporter stated. “Who is in fact Archie’s Godmother although that’s been kept very, very quiet.”

“She’s a great friend of the Duchess’ and of course she would have known all about this launch.”

The royal correspondent also took to social media on the day of the launch to reveal Isabel’s significance to the world.

“Archie’s godmother and Meghan’s great friend Isabel May was there to support the launch of #SmartSet for @SmartWorksHQ today. Meghan looked sharp, spoke confidently without notes and is clearly passionate about this latest project,” Katie tweeted.

Katie is also Vanity Fair‘s royal editor and the publication revealed that Isabel and the then-Meghan Markle were introduced by their mutual friend Markus Anderson.

“Izzy is one of Meghan’s closest and dearest friends and she values her friendship so very much,” the publication stated.

“She helped Meghan adjust to life in London when she moved here, and Meghan relied on her a lot. They totally support each other and, like any other female friends, enjoy social activities together.”

PR maven Isabel was hired as the head of communications for fashion house Burberry in 2011 and last year, she moved on to David Beckham’s company DB Ventures as the chief marketing officer.

And the Beckhams aren’t the only celebrities she’s rubbed shoulders with. At Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s royal wedding, Isabel sat in the second row on the bride’s side – in front of Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey and the Clooneys, so it’s clear the two have a close bond.

In the official royal statement that revealed details of Archie’s christening, it read: “Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be christened in a small private ceremony by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday 6th July.”

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex look forward to sharing some images taken on the day by photographer Chris Allerton. The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”

We guess the investigation will continue!
