Nick Cummins may have signed up to The Bachelor hoping to find true love, but it appears that he could still be on the lookout.

Rumours circulated that the former Wallabies player may have split with his chosen girl thought to be either Sophie Tieman or Brittany Hockley, after a now-deleted Instagram exchange with a fan took place.

“Nick Cummins, The Bachelor, does not fall in love, he is not with a girl, he is 110 per cent still single, everything you are watching is going to end in heartbreak in a couple of months time,” radio host Matty Acton claimed after he spotted the exchange.

A now-deleted Instagram exchange between Nick and a fan started rumours that the Bachie was single and ready to mingle.

According to Matty from Hit105’s Stav Abby & Matt, Nick Cummins dropped the hint when he responded to a fan saying she wanted to be on top of him after he posted a picture of himself on top of a car with the caption: “When you finally get on top of things”.

“haha” wrote Nick in response to the fan’s cheeky suggestion sending alarm bells off in Matty’s head.

But Co-host Abby Coleman wasn’t so worried.

“Is that your only evidence? He didn’t say, ‘Yes, get on top of me’. He said ‘haha’. If you look at past photos, he actually writes back to girls, ‘You’re a good sort’,” she noted.

But Matty wasn’t so convinced and insisted: ‘Not for months! We did some investigating and the producers had a look back, and for months he hasn’t been writing back to anyone.’

The radio hosts even went onto to contact, Jess, who wrote the comment to clarify any shady dealings, but she insisted no other contact was made.

But since Matty’s observation, the comment has been deleted, making the whole incident that bit more suspicious.

Did naughty Nick expose his hand that little bit too soon. Will we see the winning lady heartbroken?

Let the drama begin! The Bachelor airs 7.30pm Wednesdays and Thursdays on Ten
