EXCLUSIVE: Eliminated Beauty and the Geek couple Bryanna and Kiran reveal how they knew their strong chemistry was the real deal

Beauty and the Geek couple Bryanna Reynolds and Kiran Rao may be eliminated, but during their short time on the show, there were various signs the couple was building a far deeper connection than they could have anticipated before filming began.

From sweet early beginnings at the show’s mixers to sharing intimate moments that perhaps triggered the real start to their bond, the couple reveals to TV Week how their journey came to be.

Audiences who were keen to see their undeniable chemistry grow may be interested to know that the endearing couple had a little help from the stunning Sophie Monk.

Kiran shares that he was initially stuck in his head about his feelings for Bryanna, until Sophie stepped in.

“They haven’t shown any of this on the show, but we regularly did this thing called the cupid confessional, we would meet one on one with Sophie, and we would talk about what’s going on. And those experiences were so great because she has got a real good head on her shoulders, and she can kind of cut through a lot of the mist and fog and offers really good advice,” shares Kiran.

“I think early on with Bryanna I had a little bit of hesitation, and I was second-guessing, and I was questioning, and Sophie was just like ‘chill out’, she suggested I play it by ear and just go with the flow, and that is what we ended up doing.”

As for when they knew there was something more between them, it seems that feeling progressed briskly and naturally.

“It was so natural there wasn’t a specific point for me where I was like ‘omg’, it was just so natural it just progressed. And when Kiran gave me flowers, I was overcome with emotion, I was like ‘a guy has never done that for me,'” says Bryanna.

Kiran echoes the same sentiment, and he says, “Similarly to Bryanna, there was no clear point where it happened, I just found over the course of time that I just wanted to spend more time with Bryanna. We had those mixers early on, and we were encouraged to go around and talk to the different Geeks and the different Beauties, but we just tended to gravitate towards each other.”

When TV Week asked if they are still together, Bryanna quickly replies, “I can’t say sorry.”

One of the highlights of Kiran’s time on TV was his incredibly transformative makeover, which was a joy for viewers.

The lawyer is grateful for the unique experience that allowed him to enjoy being pampered.

“The experience was wild; it was a real humbling experience,” he exclaims.

“All that attention being put on me for an entire day and not being able to see myself for an entire day, so they blocked out the reflective surfaces, the mirrors, they prevented me from using anything with a webcam – it gave the entire experience a really dream-like quality.”

Although they are no longer on the show, it’s clear that it has had a big impact on their lives.
