Bubbly fan favourite Lisa is currently competing with husband Andy on House Rules – but TV WEEK can reveal she also starred on Beauty and the Geek!
Aged just 21 years old at the time, Lisa was paired up with Corin in season one of the hit show back in 2009, and went on to be crowned runner-up of the series.
Lisa was matched with Corin on Beauty and the Geek, season one.
Unsurprisingly, Lisa – who was described as an ‘aspiring actress’ at the time – says it was “so different” to her experience on House Rules.
“It was really fun!” Lisa, 30, remembers. “We had these male models stand in front of us and we’d have to paint arrows where we thought their hearts were. It was very care free and fun!”
Lisa says the show wasn’t a dating show back when she took part and that she was dating Andy at the time. The pair married last year.
“Half of us girls had partners,” she explains. “It was more about what we could learn from each other. I didn’t become academically smarter by being on the show but it was great to have that experience so young!”
Lisa (third row, right) said her Beauty and the Geek experience was “care free and fun”.
Meanwhile, Lisa says House Rules has certainly proved to be a test of her and Andy’s marriage.
“We are newly married so it was like, ‘Let’s do this and test our marriage and do something out of the ordinary. Let’s throw ourselves into the deep end,” she reveals.
“Most people get married and have babies, but we got married and went on House Rules. But I’d have it no other way. It’s been such a ride!”
