Season two Married At First Sight star Jono Pitman has revealed he and his partner Rebecca Pattison are expecting their first child together.

Over the weekend, the former reality star shared his beautiful news on Instagram alongside a sweet selfie with Bec and an ultrasound of their unborn bub.

“New Year, exciting new adventures…We’re having a baby!! Baby Pitman due July 2019 and we are over the moon. 💕,” Jono penned, before revealing they are expecting a son.

“We can’t wait to meet our little boy,” the Melbourne-based local added.

Jono signed off his post with a cheeky dig at his infamous “that’s not what I ordered” line from when he first saw his MAFS bride Clare Verral at the altar in 2016.

“#babypitman #itsaboy #igotwhatiordered #whenyouknowyouknow #nomuckingaround,” Jono teased.

Jono rose to fame on season two of the Channel Nine dating show after he was set up with Clare Verrall.

Despite the experts’ supposed rigorous research, their coupling proved toxic and they lasted just three weeks into the experiment as their pseudo marriage crumbled in front of the nation.

Looking back on his experience, the father-to-be says he wishes he never met Clare.

“I know this sounds brutal but [the worst thing to come from the show was] meeting Clare. I honestly wish I never met her, that’s the truth,” Jono told NTL in 2017.

“If I saw Clare now, I’d turn my back and I’d walk away. I don’t have a single thing to say to her. If she wanted to apologise, I wouldn’t even want to hear it. She probably thinks the same thing about me and that doesn’t faze me in the slightest.”

“I was pretty naive about the show, honestly I had no idea about the whole experiment before I even went on,” he reflected of his time on the show.

Jono joins a long line of former MAFS stars taking the plunge into parenthood.

Season three wild child Craig Keller welcomed a daughter Penny Lane in December, Susan four Susan Rawlings is the proud mum to nine-month-old son Ashton, 2016 bride Jess Wardrop gave birth last month and former MAFS poster couple Alex and Zoe, who sadly split last year, are parents to daughter Harper-Rose.

Putting the show behind him, Jono has been working hard on his pool construction job and has since found love with partner Bec.

A huge congrats to the couple on this beautiful baby news!
