A “sadistic” father who sexually abused and tortured four children on a remote South Australian property has been sentenced to 25 years jail, reports AAP.
The court heard the man terrorised his biological son and daughter and stepson and stepdaughter for more than a decade on his Port Augusta property with multiple instances of sexual assault as well as locking the children in cages, tying them to trees and slamming their fingers in doors.
On Monday the 43-year-old man was sentenced to at least 19 years in prison for his crimes.
The man’s wife was also found guilty of false imprisonment for incidents involving two of the children in 2011 and 2013. She was jailed for three years.
