Coming full circle: 20 years after their Oscar win for Best Screenplay for Good Will Hunting, besties and creative comrades Ben Affleck and Matt Damon reunite to present the same category they won for.
But it wasn't without some trolling from Matt's frenemy, Jimmy Kimmel, who tried to fade him out as he presented.
Flashback! Both lads were in their mid-twenties and overwhelmed by the 1997 win. "I just said to Matt, losing would suck and winning would be really scary. It's really, really scary... Whoever we forgot we love you! And thank you so much to the city of Boston," Ben said at the time.
Best Actor nominee Ryan Gosling was joined by his older sister, Mandi Gosling.
Online, fans erupted into fevered speculation over who Mandi could be. "'Have we figured out who @RyanGosling's date is? His sister?? She's gorgeous," one user wrote. While others were more curt and joked: "Someone introduce me to Ryan Gosling's sister."
