Snake causes chaos in Sydney street

The two-metre long red-bellied black snake took four hours to be rescued.

A red-bellied black snake caused chaos on Easter Monday after it had to be rescued from a car.

It was spotted slithering down Old South Head Road in Vaucluse before nestling into a parked Toyota Rav 4, Daily Mail reports.

The two-metre long snake – who was stuck in the car for four hours – was successfully saved by the Sydney Wildlife rescue team.

However, before he was rescued, he “stuck out his head from the rear tyre to say g’day to the crowds spectating from the road,” a spokesperson said.
