QLD: Three family members are dead in domestic shooting

Police believe a 79-year-old man shot his wife, 68, and 50-year-old disabled daughter before turning the gun on himself.

The local community of Booral on Queensland’s Fraser Coast are shocked by events which have left three members of the Frescura family dead after being shot.

Police believe 79-year-old John Frescura shot his wife Rita, 68, and daughter Robyn, 50, before turning the gun on himself.

The Courer Mail reports that officers rushed to the home after receiving a Triple-0 call for help from inside the house shortly before 7am.

Detective Acting Inspector David Briese told media that police had no history of domestic disturbances or calls to the home.

Neighbours have spoken of their shock at the tragedy that has claimed the family that lived in the home for more than a decade.

They said John was a loving father who had helped care for his disabled daughter.
