Keyless Twohearts Lory, 58, raised a vitamin bottle to his lips when the jury foreman stood up to deliver the verdict in a DeKalb County courtroom last week.
As the foreman said the word “guilty”, Lory swigged an unknown liquid from the bottle before collapsing.
He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for poisoning, reports the New York Post
Lory faces two life sentences, plus 40 years, for repeated attacks on the girl, nine, who was a relative, between July 2011 and July 2012.
