Lisa Millar has responded perfectly to criticism about her choice of outfit while reporting on the Paris attacks.

The ABC’s Europe Correspondent flew to France when news of the terrorist attacks broke just under two weeks ago, and has been reporting on the story ever since.

But a Twitter user named Stephen Blackman took to the social media site to accuse Millar of not paying enough attention to her attire, asking: “Don’t you think when time permits a visit to ‘David Jones’ for a few more clothes might be a priority?”

The journalist was understandably confused, but when she questioned Blackman’s message he responded: “Da…the same jacket…report after report…I’m sure you follow…”

Millar handed down a sharp retort though, reminding Blackman that in the wake of the attacks, her coat choices were not exactly a priority.

“Funnily enough I didn’t have time to shop,” she wrote. “Mental note to self- pack better when covering breaking news tragedies.”

The ridiculous criticism has drawn support for Millar, with many of her fellow journos praising her work, rather than her wardrobe.

Tom Steinfort, a Channel 9 foreign correspondent, took to Twitter to admit: “one of my cameramen wore the same underwear for five days straight because he had so little time to pack!”

And Georgie Dent and James Massola both agreed that Millar had been “amazing” and “extraordinary.”

The comments on Lisa Millar’s wardrobe comes after Today Show host Karl Stefanovic took a stand against the criticism women receive about their appearance.

Stefanovic wore the same suit every day for a year to prove that, while his female co-hosts were under constant scrutiny, no one paid attention to their male equivalents.
