The due date for Karl Stefanovic and his pregnant wife Jasmine Yarbrough is fast approaching, with the couple’s little bundle of joy set to arrive in May.
And as the exciting day draws close, the Today show host admitted that he and Jasmine are yet to agree on a name for their unborn daughter.
“It’s a very heated discussion with the names, I don’t wanna go into it, but I’m not winning at the moment,” Karl confessed on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa show on Thursday morning.
Karl, who is launching The Weekly Tonight Show, to entertain Australians who are stuck inside due to social distancing rules, also shared a glimpse into what it was having his heavily pregnant wife helping out on set.

“She’s taken to it with great gusto, ordering everyone around, doing colour balances with her iPhone. She lasted two seconds, cramped up and went downstairs and I had to put my daughter on,” Karl replied in jest.

Jasmine has been lending a helping hand as Karl films his new evening show.
(Image: Instagram)Meanwhile, Karl’s brother Peter Stefanovic and his wife Sylvia Jeffreys have also recently welcomed a new addition to their family, a son name Oscar, who was born in February.
Karl joked that he and Peter are no longer on speaking terms because his brother has been too busy covering the coronavirus crisis for Sky News, as well as looking after a newborn.
“Well I don’t really talk to Pete any more, our relationship has sort of disintegrated a little bit now that he’s working for the opposition, on that channel that no one watches,” Karl said.
“Here they are they covering the worst story in the history of the world, so we get to talk very, very little, because he’s under the pump at home as well! As soon as he gets home he’s on nappy duties. He’s getting smashed!”
Peter, who recently welcomed son Oscar into the world with wife Sylvia, is busy juggling covering the coronavirus crisis and being a parent.
