Inside Michael Clarke’s $2.5m Sydney mansion

Ready for your daily dose of real estate envy?

He may have played the Ashes, retired from cricket and announced he’s expecting his first child with wife, Kyly, in one fell swoop, but that doesn’t mean Michael Clarke is too busy to fit in a little real estate deal.

Australia’s former cricket captain has sold his majestic water-front home in Sydney’s exclusive Lilli Pilli for a cool $2.55 million.

The expecting dad has recently sold his luxe Round Hill property for $6.5 million to pick up a swanky five-bedroom Vaucluse mansion for $8.5 million, and now he’s managed to offload his waterside Lilli Pilli estate.

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom, open plan house features high vaulted ceilings, tiered lawns, marbled bathrooms, a swimming pool, jet spa, boathouse, slipway, boatshed, three car parking spaces and a deck that allows you to jump straight from your back door into the water (and with a little one on the way, this might have been a contributing factor to his sale).

The house originally went on the market in 2009 for $3.4 million, but was passed over until an Eastern Suburbs couple snapped it up at a cool $2.5.
