There’s never a good time to learn that your partner’s cheated on you, but trapped on a plane en route to an idyllic location with your child in tow has to be in the top five worst places to be told.
Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to an Iranian woman who was travelling to Bali. To say she took the news well would be an overstatement, in fact, it’s just wrong. She actually became so enraged at her husband the plane had to make an unscheduled stop at Chennai, India.
The couple, flying with their child, were flying from Doha to Bali when the woman allegedly used her sleeping husband’s thumb to unlock his phone and read all the nasty details about his infidelity.
The woman, who was reportedly drunk, became unruly, according to other passengers. The flight crew tried to calm her, but the pilot ended up diverting the Qatar Airways flight to the North Indian city.
“The woman and her husband, along with their child, were offloaded and the flight departed for Bali,” an official at the Central Industry Security Force told the Times of India.
To make things worse, the family had to be kept in a detention centre because they didn’t have Indian visas.
“The family spent the day at Chennai airport and was sent to Kuala Lumpur by a Batik Air flight for further travel to Doha,” the official said.
Seems like a waste of a good Bali trip, I personally would’ve sent the guy home while I treated myself to the swim-up bars and cheap massages.
No police action was taken but something tells us the man hasn’t escaped scot-free.
