The words ‘The Perfect “Body”‘ imposed over a picture of 10 super slim models dressed in underwear has prompted a widespread backlash on social media and the hashtag #iamperfect on Twitter.

“No such thing as a perfect body, @VictoriasSecret. Please, stop perpetuating this myth. Only harmful. #iamperfect” Anna A. Wilson wrote on Twitter.

CourtneyO wrote: “Stop the body image shaming. No wonder why young girls have body image issues and eating disorders #VictoriasSecret #IamPerfect”.

There’s also a Change.org petition asking Victoria’s Secret to withdraw the ad and apologise. It has already attracted close to 20,000 signatures.
