Cameron Diaz: What your wee says about you

She may be a Hollywood actress but while on the publicity trail for her book Cameron Diaz has ruled no topic off limits, not even faeces, urine and sweat.

Health conscious Diaz, 41, has recently penned The Body Book and during her chat with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey the blonde bombshell didn’t shy away from the messy world of bodily functions.

“Every time you go pee, you can look in the toilet,” Diaz said. “You can see what colour your pee is, what it smells like, and how often you’ve gone. And you can tell whether or not you need to drink more water or drink less coffee or whether or not your kidneys are being able to be flushed out. That’s important to your body.”

Her book is a New York Times best seller and focuses on health and wellness. Its famous author insists that a big part of being healthy is keeping a close eye on not only what goes into your body, but what comes out of it.

“By the way, if you’re connected to those things – your pee, your poop, and your sweat – that’s the easiest way and the most frequent way that you can be connected to what’s going on in your body,” Diaz says. “Because pee, poop, and sweat is the way that we get rid of toxins in our body.”

Oprah laughed her way through the awkward topic admitting: “I didn’t think I’d be talking to Cameron Diaz about poop!”
