Remember that time the entire nation “thought” Laura Byrne had won Matty J’s heart on The Bachelor Australia.

History seems to be repeating itself with Sophie Monk on this season of The Bachelorette Australia.

It’s been a week since we first met millionaire pub owner Stu Laundy, and it’s already clear the pair have a lot of chemistry.

And over the weekend, the boys from the series didn’t try to help the 44-year-old conceal anything.

Newly evicted Ryan Jones shared a peek inside his Sunday afternoon with some of his Bachelor mates.

The 26-year-old was joined by booted contestants Jefferson De La Rosa, Pete de Gail along with current favourites James Trethewie, Luke McLeod and Sam Cochrane for an arvo drinking session at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel in Sydney – one of Stu’s many pubs.

In fact, the only thing that was missing from the fun session was the man himself, Stu!

Ryan wrote, “When your crews on point! Where is @stulaundy44 #atstuspub #bacheloretteau.”

The millionaire was quick to answer Ryan’s query, messaging, “Love ya boys!! Daddy duty sorry!”

Not missing a beat, the booted-Kiwi remarked, “@stulaundy44 which type of of daddy? Haha”

Stu, a father of four, is currently the favourite to take out the competition.

And his absence at the Sunday session is yet another telling sign that he could be the man to win Soph’s heart as the winner usually keeps a very low profile in the lead up to the finale to avoid giving away any spoilers.

Curious fans were quick to weigh in on the telling clue.

One person asked: “Did you just give away who won?”

“Does this mean she’s picked Stu because all of my faves are in this pic right here,” another said.

Until the big reveal, Sophie Monk has escaped to Thailand.

The talented singer admitted to Nova’s 100’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny that she needed to escape, otherwise she’d let slip who takes out the show.

“I break all the rules. I can’t do rules.”

“I will definitely try to see him and mess it all up for everyone. So I have to remove myself.”

Adding, “I know I’ve got no will power, and so that I don’t weaken, I’m going overseas.”
