Todd King burst into the spotlight when Australia fell in love with him on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018.

Since then, the WA local has being keeping a relatively low-profile as he continues to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer.

On Monday night, Todd took to his Instagram using the ever popular, “ask me anything” feature – prompting his 38k followers to ask him, well, anything.

“Nothing off limits. Ask away!” he captioned the questions.

While some asked the 27-year-old why he didn’t go for round two on The Bachelorette, one user asked a particularly curly question: “Would you ever date a guy?”.

For some people, they may ignore such a personal question, but Todd’s response was perfect.

“The sexuality question comes up a lot – it has from a young age,” Todd wrote accompanied by a pic of him being kissed by former Bachie-star and friend, Dan Hobley.

“I have five sisters so I’m very effeminate. I’m also so very loving. I tell my friends I love them when I leave them, or when I hang up the phone. Because I do – so I express that. I am heterosexual, but I hug and kiss my friends whether they’re male or female. [sic]”

In an exclusive chat with Now to Love, Todd explained the reason behind this stance a little further.

“It’s no secret that women are conditioned to be more open about their feelings,” he said. “I grew up in a household with four women, so from an early age I was pretty comfortable talking emotion. My family is outwardly affectionate – we kiss and hug A LOT! So if I love someone, male or female, I kiss and hug them.”

He then went on to add that men “being affectionate to another man still feels unnatural to some people” and while laws change, it takes some time for “attitudes to catch up”.

“So when people ask me about my sexuality I take it as a compliment – it means I’m changing their opinion of what it means to be a heterosexual man. I’m not saying every bloke should show love the way I show love – but give your mate a pat on the back, a high five, fist bump or even a kiss on the cheek. Just show some love.”

Todd is very comfortable with showing affection.

While he is an ABSOLUTE catch, the sales rep is still looking for love and confirmed this in his Instagram story chat.

When asked if he would do Bachelor in Paradise he revealed that he was “absolutely petrified” of getting his heart broken on national TV again.

“Although I received so much love and support. It was hard to have to watch it back [sic].”

And even though the thought scares him, he would love for his kids to able to see their parents “fall in love on TV”.

“I don’t know why but I think the idea of that (seeing their parents’ first date and first kiss) is so cute. And I think it’s definitely possible to find someone else in Bach world. As you can see, I’m on the fence.”

While BIP looks like it could be out, Todd did reveal in an interview with NW that he was approached to be The Bachelor.

According to a source, Todd was in the final stages of the audition process before it went to Matt Agnew, with even the women from the show thinking that he’d been cast.

“They expected me to be the Bachelor this year,” he said, revealing that some of the women had signed up so they could meet him.
