“Ladies, you did not receive a rose”.
It’s the phrase no woman wants to hear – that is, if they’ve decided to take the intense plunge of going on The Bachelor.
But it’s a world they’ve knowingly taken the risk to indulge in – a world where rejection, jealously and pressure is at an all-time high.
That’s why when Locky Gilbert dishes out each batch of roses, and reaches for the last one, it’s possible to pin point the exact moment when a heart literally breaks.
The 2020 season has already hopped to a rip roaring start, with some big contenders being sent home early doors.
In the end, there really can only be one – and as each episode airs, we get closer to finding out who that is.
But in the interim, we thought it necessary to lament the stunning women who didn’t make the cut this time.
They do say everything happens for a reason, so just because their shot at love with Locky wasn’t successful this time doesn’t mean their journey to find love is over.
Farewell, and godspeed gals – though we don’t think you’ll be needing it.

We were truly gutted to see the charismatic Izzy go rose-less in the second to last episode – her connection with Locky was oh-so-real, but in the end, Bella and Irena’s must have been stronger. Locky’s loss, we say!
Bec
Late intruder Bec was also sent home in the penultimate episode after she revealed to Locky she’d never been in love – the revelation threw the Bachelor for six, to say the least.
Kaitlyn
Just missing hometowns was first intruder Kaitlyn, whose chemistry with Locky wasn’t enough in the end.
Steph
Lovely Steph was sent home after her vibe with Locky was more friendly than flirty.
Juliette
Queen Juliette might have left the show without a rose, but she definitely had a bunch of DMs awaiting her. Long live the Queen herself.
maddy
Maddy didn’t strike up a strong enough connection with Locky to go the distance.
Nicole
In episode nine, dancer Nicole was left crestfallen when she didn’t receive a rose from Locky – and thus, never got to see the mansion again…
Bel
Where some of the girls kept Locky close amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, Bel fell a little short. She was sent home (or more accurately, told to stay home) in episode eight.
Laura
Laura was sent home in episode 7 – guess Locky wasn’t down for her, er, extravagant lifestyle.
Gemma
Gemma was also one of five girls to be culled in episode seven.
Areeba
Boss gal Areeba might have reigned it over the mansion, but not quite over Locky’s heart.
Charley
Charley was cut just short of the Zoom date extravaganza.
Marg
Marg’s time was short, but sweet on the show.
Rosemary
Rosemary was next to walk in episode six, we’re sure she’ll find her penguin elsewhere.
Kristina
Kristina was also sent packing in episode six – but her golden glory days of Bachie past will live on…
Zoe Clare
Zoe Clare took herself, and her iconic red hair straight to a departing limo in episode five as one half of a surprise double elimination.
Clare
In the same episode, Locky bid farewell to the lovely Clare. Her time on the show was short, but sweet.
Marlaina
Charismatic Marlaina had her time cut short in the third episode of The Bachelor, with the gorgeous brunette being one of three women sent home.
Leilani
The gorgeous Leilani was also left without a rose in the second ceremony.
Georgie
Georgie was the third unlucky lass to be sent home in episode 3.
Nadine
30-year-old Nadine was one of the first ladies to be sent home in the premiere episode. Locky’s loss, we say!
Paige
The stunning Paige from Victoria was also left rose-less at the end of the premiere episode.
