On the ninth leg of the race, five teams trekked through Cambodia’s second-largest city, Siem Reap.

In the final challenge, teams had to endure the incredibly tedious task of crafting silk from lotus flowers which only resulted in bickering between the mother-and-son duo.

Jana and Cor were the last team to hit the mat.

After some absurd animal body parts days before, it was a fried tarantula in Cambodia which unravelled Bec and Kate. With Bec describing it as her “worst nightmare.”

To avoid the challenge, the girls took the time penalty. While it was a risk they were willing to take, it cost them their position in the competition.

Bec and Kate were the fourth contestants to be eliminated from The Amazing Race.

The detour challenge was George and Pamela’s downfall as the siblings were unable to find their lantern. Despite their “bad luck,” George was very proud.

“The fact that [our elimination] came down to one little bit of bad luck that ended our time in the race is something that I’m very proud of. I think it showed that two ordinary people from the suburbs with different personalities and a large age gap can do very well,” George told Ten.

The celebrities first stop was a crab farm where they were tasked with catching five fully grown crabs in order to receive their next clue. It was here where the couples relationship was truly put to the test.

The teams were then faced with a detour in Penang where they solved a mahjong-themed puzzle and make a paper boat.

Saldy, Ben and Jackie were the last to arrive and were eliminated from the race.
