It’s that time of the year, when the speculation of who will be starring in the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is rife.

Hosts of the Channel 10 show, Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown, are said to be soon heading off to South Africa to begin filming the ninth season of the hit show, that sees celebrities ‘dropped’ into the jungle to compete challenges in the attempt to win $100,000 for their chosen charity.

This means that right now Australian personalities are being closely watched, as internet sleuths attempt to figure out which celebrities will be taking part in the 2023 season.

And one celebrity may have already been identified, as fans who follow Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac on Instagram have taken notice of his latest posts that show him in Africa.

Sam, who’s been taking part in immersive experiences with wildlife for the past week, is said to be in the African continent filming content for Sunrise.

But that didn’t stop the comments, as a former winner of I’m A Celeb, Miguel Maestre, even commented on one of Sam’s snaps.

“Are you going into I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Ten?”, Miguel cheekily wrote, which also could be seen as a dig at the mass exodus of Ten’s talent from the network.

“I wondered the same!” another follower replied. “Good mate Dr Chris could share some hints and tips.”

The ‘good mate’, Dr Chris Brown, will be hosting the show for the last time this year, as it was revealed last week that the TV vet is jumping ship to channel Seven.

What fans didn’t take into consideration is that as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is a Channel 10 show, but Sam Mac works for and is contracted to the Seven network, his contract wouldn’t allow him to appear on the show.

Mac also isn’t needing anymore TV work currently, as he was recently confirmed to be the new host of the lifestyle program, Sydney Weekender.
