Alycia won over our hearts when she first appeared on Married At First Sight this week, marrying sweetheart Mat in a beautiful ceremony.

And while Alycia’s happy groom couldn’t stop speaking about how beautiful she was, Alycia opened up to TV WEEK about some insecurities she had about herself when she was younger.

From the age of 13, there was one thing Alycia desperately wanted to change about her face.

“I used to have a big dorsal hump on my nose,” she explains. “It was something I was self-conscious about. I hated it.”

So a few years ago, Alycia had a nose job.

“I made it to a period in my life where I could afford to get it done, and I did,” the 28-year-old shares. “My self-confidence just went up.

“A lot of people in my life criticised me for doing that, but I’d do it again, any day, because of the way it made me feel.”

The student from South Australia says she’s also had her lips done. However, she hasn’t done anything about the loose skin she was left with following a dramatic weight loss.

She dropped 30kg to her current weight of 67kg after doing the blood type diet, the seven-day lemon detox diet and the anti-fungal diet.

“I’m never going to be a bikini model, but I’m OK with that,” she says.

“There have been people who’ve still been attracted to me with loose skin and stretch marks. I really need to love myself just as much as those people have.”
