As more and more restrictions are imposed on everyday life as a result of the coronavirus, it seems that the things we once took for granted are dropping like flies.

Not only are restaurants, bars and clubs shutting their doors, but even when we curl up in front of the TV at home, some of our favourite shows are being postponed, with some cancelled altogether.

You don’t need to limit yourself just to Netflix and Stan.

But you don’t just have to limit yourselves to streaming services- even though Tiger King is definitely worth a watch.

Free to air television is still operating around Australia and some of your favourite homegrown shows are still coming to our screens shortly.

MasterChef Australia: Back To Win

The country’s most wholesome reality show is coming back for a 12th season, but this year will be a little different.

With three brand new judges, MasterChef Australia: Back To Win will see former competitors return for a second shot at victory.

And we don’t have to wait long, as the cooking reality show will be back on our screens just in time for Easter Monday – that’s April 13.

“We’re in for one of the best seasons in the history of this competition,” guest judge and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay teases in the trailer.

House Rules: High Stakes

For all you interior design fans, House Rules is back on April 5 – and it too has had a little shake-up.

This season introduces new hosts Jamie Durie and Abbey Way, and judges Kyly Clarke and Saul Myers, who will join existing judge Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Teams will renovate a 32-storey penthouse on the Gold Coast, but in a twist, not everyone will get their house renovated, and people will be eliminated.

High stakes indeed!

LEGO Masters

From April 19, you can tune into season two of LEGO Masters Australia.

Hosted by national treasure Hamish Blake, get ready to see the incredible creations ordinary Aussies have crafted from humble LEGO bricks.

And unlike an explosive MAFS dinner party, everyone in the family can get involved with this one!

Home and Away

We have some good news for soap fans! All of your favourite Summer Bay residents will be back on your screens very soon.

Star Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene, took to the official Home and Away Instagram account to reveal the show’s exact date.

“I just wanted to let you know, I have it on good authority that Home and Away will be back on air on Monday, April 13th. I’m excited, I hope you are too,” Lynne said in the clip.

Farmer Wants A Wife

It’s the most successful, and arguably the most beloved dating show ever to hit Aussie screens, so during all this uncertainty, Farmer Wants A Wife couldn’t have come back at a better time.

Hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, the reality contest is due to return in April, although Channel Seven is yet to confirm an official premiere date.

Farmer Wants A Wife hasn’t been on TV since 2016, so we have high hopes for this show, especially seeing as the farmers this season are a good-looking bunch!

We need some wholesome reality TV during these trying times.
