The Royal Collection Trust has unveiled Windsor Castle‘s Christmas decor for 2023! The Grand Staircase of the castle’s State Apartments have been adorned with garlands while festive foliage and wreaths have been fastened to gates and lampposts throughout the castle’s grounds.
And in St George’s Hall lies the heart of Windsor Castle’s Christmas decor: a 20-foot Nordmann Fir tree which is decorated with hundreds of beautiful, glittering ornaments and twinkling fairy lights.
Visitors are able to tour the holiday displays throughout Windsor Castle and see all the wonderful decorations for themselves.

2023 Gorgeous tree set up for Christmas at Windsor Castle.
This year it is topped by a specially commissioned sparkling Garter Star.
In the Waterloo Chamber, the dining table was laid with porcelain from the Garter Service, featuring a design inspired by the Garter star.
The impressive 20-foot Christmas tree was grown sustainably nearby in Windsor Great Park.
The Grand Staircase is decorated with garlands adorned with gold foliage and beautiful fairy lights.
The Waterloo Chamber features an elaborate display of Royal Collection Christmas items artfully arranged on the table.
Another Christmas tree is on display in Windsor Castle’s Crimson Drawing Room; visitors will be able to explore this room as well during their tour of the castle.
This holiday season will mark the first Christmas since Queen Elizabeth II’s death and since her son, King Charles III began his reign.
