Sarah, Duchess of York has stepped out in style for Royal Ascot, an exclusive five-day racing event — one of the highlights of the British social calendar.

The 57-year-old was spotted hand-in-hand her eldest daughter Princesses Beatrice, 28, as they patiently waited at the Berkshire racecourse for the arrival of Queen Elizabeth II via the traditional carriage procession.

Princess Eugenie, 27, stood nearby with her long-time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, who, in a sign of respect, removed his hat and bowed his head as the monarch passed.

In a similar sign of deference, Fergie, Beatrice and Eugenie knelt into a low curtsey as the carriage continued toward its destination.

Despite the sweltering temperatures, the trio managed to adhere to the event’s strict ‘formal daywear’ dress code which commands dresses and skirts with modest lengths, absolutely no spaghetti straps and hats in place of fascinators — among a long list of requirements.

In a touching show of affection, Fergie and daughter Beatrice were even seen to hold hands.

Beatrice looked striking in a rose gold coat and coordinating hat.

Princess Eugenie and her boyfriend-of-seven-years, Jack Brooksbank, shared many a special moment at the upscale event.

The sisters were sure to share a chat as well!

Fergie opted for a monochromatic ensemble featuring a tailored dress, patent-leather shoes and a pillbox hat while Beatrice keep things streamlined in a rose gold woven coat dress designed by Claire Mischevani and a coordinating feather-accented hat.

Meanwhile, Eugenie chose to wear a floral print dress from L.K.Bennett, teamed with a navy hat dotted with yellow flowers.

As proceedings kicked-off, the royals made their way to the VIP area where they could better take in all the action.

Despite the sweltering temperatures, Sarah and Eugenie were in high spirits.

Fergie was also spotted having a laugh in the VIP area with daughter Beatrice.

Earlier in the week, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the day one of Royal Ascot, joining Queen Elizabeth II and several other members of the royal family at the swanky annual event.

The royal couple arrived at the racecourse via carriage procession, alongside Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex.

Duchess Kate, 35, and Sophie, 52, captured the attention of royal enthusiasts and racegoers alike when the latter appeared to lose her footing while finding her seat in the open carriage. But Kate, and her quick-thinking reflexes, were there to save the day — she instinctively prevented the royal, wife of Queen Elizabeth‘s youngest son, Prince Edward, from taking a very public tumble.

Luckily for us, the clumsy moment was captured by a quick-thinking photographer and will no doubt serve as fodder for many a meme!

Shortly after the procession, the racecourse fell silent as the royals and fellow spectators observed a minute’s in memory of the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire and London and Manchester terror attacks.

The tribute, which was led by the Queen, was announced by the compere as a “mark of respect for the victims and families so tragically affected by recent events in the United Kingdom.”

After the tribute, Kate, who looked stunning in a bespoke Alexander McQueen floral lace mini dress and a white topper adorned with pearls and a lace bow, appeared in high-spirits as she and her husband walked around the enclosure.

Duchess Kate arrived via the traditional carriage procession, alongside husband Prince William, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex.

Kate looked stunning in a high-necked bespoke Alexander McQueen lace mini dress and a hat adorned with pearls and a lace bow.

As usual, everybody’s favourite royal couple stole the show! And in a rare show of affection, Kate even placed her husband on her husband’s lower back.

The young royals were seen to stop and chat happily with Princess Anne, and Mike and Zara Tindall, among other high-profile attendees.

Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, 62, also joined the party in the Royal Enclosure, looking every bit the royal in a sky blue dress by Goat.

This is the second time Kate has attended the event since joining the royal family. She made her debut last year in a strikingly similar white cocktail dress designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
