The royal family have well and truly entered the internet age with Prince Harry creating the first ever royal gifs (moving images) as part of his work with the Full Effect youth program in London.

The program is one that the 30 year-old prince supports with his Royal Foundation charity and it aims to reduce youth violence and gang membership by engaging young people and giving them training in areas such as media and broadcast skills.

As part of the Full Effect program a 30 minute film, Guillemot, was created by the participants with the help of The Wire actor Dominic West – the premiere of which Prince Harry attended.

As part of Prince Harry’s visit to the group, in St Anne’s in Nottingham, the group took him through their work and the prince posed for some gifs, hamming it up and laughing with the group.

The Full Effect program works in two ways. Early intervention, working with the primary school aged children and keeping them away from getting involved in youth violence, and working with teenagers to give them formal qualifications, apprenticeships and leadership skills.
